The tale of the two-Punishers

I wanted to keep the original composition very clean.
Sort of the Punisher rising from the dark (Negative space)
Then I scanned it and felt it lacked any energy at all.
So I added a bit of color.
I don't know it's late what do you think?

Love for Kirby-New Gods

Ok, I'm going to finish off all the New Gods before I do any other
commissions.
I love the Kirby Fourth World so much and it was one of the main reasons I wanted to draw comics.
More to come.

Thank you

Sunday-Atomika images from the past.

I've been trying to incorporate a few of the older iconic Atomika images
from issue #1 and re-do or modernize a few for the end of the series.
I like the Original colors, simple but effective.

Doc Savage baby.

I have to admit I was never a big Doc Savage fan.
But who wasn't a big fan of all those tremendous Bama (Doc Savage paperback) covers?
I also remember John Buscema did a few mean covers for the comic Marvel put out for about 15 minutes.

Anyway taking my wife to Mortons tonight for her B-day.
We have a 2 year old so date nights feel awful grown up after a day with 'Word World'

Thanks for letting me share

Sketch of the day 4/9/10- the Hulk

Ok, so I grew up with Herb Trimpe as the Hulk artist and loved it.
But all those great Sal Buscema issues with Romita cover didn't hurt.

No offense to Kirby because he was the man especially with all those great Hulk villains.
Sorry I'm rambling...Love this stuff.
Have a great weekend everyone.
Stop by and see me at C2E2 if you're in Chicago at the Alex Ross booth next weekend.

The Master of Escape- April 8th

Ok so this one is not from the DC or Marvel Universe
Which is my favorite play ground.
However I'm also a huge fan of Gary Gianni (Prince Valiant)
and some of iconic figures (Public domain) are just as cool.
And remind me of some of the characters that I see Gary including in his sketchbook.
More to come.

Thank you for letting me share.

Tiger Shark- Subby villain

I have to be honest, I'm loving these sketch of the day characters.
Trying to get to as many as I can before the con season hits.
Tiger Shark was in one of the first comics I ever bought.
It was an issue of the Hulk (Under the falls).
Always loved the color combo on his costume

So I'll tell you what anyone want to see their favorite character
on the sketch of the day list please just drop me an email.

Up next Houdini and Doc Savage..

Thank you for letting me share

Love for Canada-Alpha Flight

Ok, So I have some love for Canada.
Every time I've been treated like a Prince.
Canada's love for comics doesn't hurt either.

I'll be in Toronto twice this year, once in june for Fan Expo and
again for the big Daddy of shows in August at the convention center
Right in the heart of downtown Toronto.

Alpha Flight...ok I'm more of an Avengers fan but who doesn't
love Marvel 80's teams....
