"Wolverine Raw.

I got a few requests to leave this piece as is.
So I'm going to force myslf and leave it alone.

I was channeling the Great John Buscema's Wolverine
Mr Buscema had a huge influence on my life as an artist.

Conan

Probably what was the beginning of my maturing into the comic world started
when I discovered the Savage Sword of Conan (and the monthly Conan title)
By the Magnificent John Buscema.
I always loved his work before this but Conan was a true kick in the ass to a young teen wanting to be an artist.

He was and still is my hero (Mr Buscema) as a tribute to him I'm going to do a series of Conan
pieces in the coming weeks.

This was a first stab...

The Vision- One bad Dude

I was a big fan of the Avengers in the 70's.
Great logo and John Buscema had an unforgettable run on it.

That was where I was first introduced to the Vision.
(Had to look up what intangible meant)

One of Ultron's creations and a bad dude.
This guy makes the Terminator look like a tinker toy.

Thank you for letting me share.

Joe Kubert character gallery.

What can anyone in comics say about Joe Kubert..?
He was a giant, a legend, a corner stone of the industry..?
Yes all those things of course.
To me Mr Joe Kubert added so much to my life through his work
and enriched everything about why I became an artist.

Thank You Mr Kubert.
Gone but never forgotten.

Here are a few of his great characters.
Ragman, Sgt Rock and Enemy ace.

Logan's Run

Loved this movie as a kid.
then Marvel did a lame comic version of it ,but I still loved it.
Michael York, went from a great Three Musketeer's film by Richard Lester
to this .
More 70's film love.

Logan's Run.

Neal Adams also did a few tremendous fill in stories for 'Enemy Ace in the 70's.
Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Yesterday the great Eddy Newell posted a tremendous Spider man piece on his Facebook page
(Please check out Eddy's web page you wont be disappointed)

So I was inspired to do another Spidey in the rain piece.

Also a miserable attempt at a Logan's run piece.....
Uggh this one hurts, I'll get it right.

70's Iron man.

A million years ago when George Tuska was the penciller on Iron man
I started picking up the book at Stoyas drug store on Bryn mawr and Broadway on the North side of Chicago.
Well I was hooked, only to discover there were several other tremendous versions of the character
Gene Colan, Don Heck ...
Either way I love Iron man from way back..
Here is the 70's version with the pointy mask.
Sorry no roller skates.

(George Tuska was always my favorite)
